Permanent QR Use Case

Memorials & Gravestones

A tribute with an independent recovery path.

The Problem

A QR on a gravestone must link to a memory page for decades. Ordinary shortlinks can break when a vendor changes terms or shuts down.

Why The Eternal Tier Responds Intentionally

Paid Eternal QRs are anchored on Base. If the hosted service is unavailable, the exported recovery key can decrypt the last anchored destination.

Cryptographic AnchoringUnlike the Free/Basic hosted tier, the paid Eternal tier writes an encrypted routing payload to Base L2. Eternal QR derives and exports a per-user recovery key so the last anchored destination can be decrypted without the Eternal QR servers. Basic operates on traditional infrastructure and does not include blockchain anchoring.

Real-world Example

Families use Eternal to link a headstone QR to a tribute site while keeping an off-grid recovery path for the destination.

Future-proof your memorials & gravestones

Stop leaving a critical digital legacy entirely in the hands of generic SaaS tools. Add Base anchoring and recovery-key export with the paid Eternal tier.
